The Skills Plus Program offers structured, personalized support for adults (18 and older) who need more than weekly therapy but do not require a full intensive outpatient program. This flexible, trauma-informed program focuses on strengthening emotional and nervous system regulation, helping clients feel safer and more prepared to process difficult or traumatic experiences. Drawing from approaches such as Somatic Experiencing (SE) and evidence-based emotion regulation strategies, Skills Plus emphasizes building coping skills, reducing physiological distress, and developing internal and external support. These resources create a more stable foundation, making it easier to engage in trauma therapy and sustain progress over time.
Participants engage in a personalized blend of therapy that reflects the phase-oriented approach to trauma treatment. In the first phase, the focus is on building safety, stability, and coping resources; as clients are ready, the work gradually moves toward processing and integrating traumatic experiences. Skills Plus is designed to meet each person where they are, supporting progress at a pace that feels manageable and sustainable.
